Since I buy 4-5 pomelos as a time, I have taken to peeling one before I buy the others, which has improved my hit rate just a bit. They are one of those fruits that you simply cannot tell without peeling them if they are “good” or “bad”. :( I can eat an entire plate full of pomelos if they are sweet and juicy and peeled for me, and trust me, proper peeling is a serious skill I have never managed to acquire.
